This guide covers everything you need to know about reviewing, organizing, and managing your testimonials in Loveboard.
The Testimonials Dashboard
Access your testimonials by clicking Testimonials in the sidebar. The dashboard shows all testimonials across all your forms.
Status Tabs
Filter testimonials by their current status:
Searching
Use the search bar to find testimonials by: - Customer name - Testimonial content/text - Company name
This is helpful when you have many testimonials and need to find a specific one quickly.
Pagination
If you have many testimonials, the list is paginated. Navigate between pages to browse all your testimonials.
Testimonial Detail View
Click on any testimonial to see its full details:
- Star Rating — The rating the customer gave
- Content — The full text of the review
- Video — If it's a video testimonial, you can play it here with duration info
- Customer Info — Name, email, company, job title
- Custom Fields — Any additional fields from the form
- Avatar — The customer's profile image (if provided)
- Status — Current status (New, Approved, Archived)
- Submission Date — When it was submitted
Actions
Approving a Testimonial
Approving a testimonial makes it visible in your embeds (Wall of Love, Carousel, etc.).
- Click on a testimonial with "New" status
- Review the content and customer information
- Click Approve
The testimonial immediately appears in all embeds that match its criteria (form, type, rating filters).
When to approve: - The testimonial is genuine and positive - The content is appropriate for public display - The customer information is complete enough for your needs
Archiving a Testimonial
Archiving hides a testimonial from all embeds without deleting it.
- Click on the testimonial you want to hide
- Click Archive
When to archive: - The testimonial is negative or neutral and you don't want to display it - The testimonial contains outdated information - The customer requested removal - You want to temporarily hide it while deciding what to do
Restoring an archived testimonial: You can change an archived testimonial back to approved at any time. Go to the Archived tab, click the testimonial, and click Approve.
Deleting a Testimonial
Deleting permanently removes a testimonial from your workspace.
- Click on the testimonial you want to delete
- Click Delete
- Confirm the deletion
Warning: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you're unsure, archive instead.
When to delete: - The testimonial is spam or fake - The testimonial contains inappropriate or offensive content - You need to permanently remove it for legal reasons
Exporting Testimonials
To download all your testimonials as a JSON file:
- Go to Settings → Workspace
- Click Export Data
- A JSON file downloads containing all testimonials with all their data
The export includes: - Testimonial content and ratings - Customer information (name, email, company, etc.) - Custom field values - Status (new, approved, archived) - Timestamps (created, updated) - Video information (if applicable)
Best Practices
Review Regularly
Check your "New" testimonials frequently. Customers expect to see their testimonial on your site reasonably quickly — a week-long delay can be disappointing.
Approve Generously
Most genuine testimonials deserve to be displayed. Even 4-star reviews with constructive feedback can be powerful social proof — they show authenticity.
Don't Delete Negative Feedback
Instead of deleting negative testimonials, archive them. They can provide valuable product insights even if you don't display them publicly.
Use Search for Quick Wins
When creating a new embed for a specific product or use case, use search to find relevant testimonials quickly.
