The Wall of Love

The Wall of Love is Loveboard's flagship embed type. It displays multiple testimonials in a beautiful grid or masonry layout — perfect for dedicated testimonial pages, landing page sections, or anywhere you want to showcase social proof at scale.

Layout Options

Masonry

A Pinterest-style layout where cards have varying heights based on their content. Longer testimonials get taller cards, shorter ones get compact cards. This creates a visually dynamic, organic feel.

Best for: Pages with testimonials of varying length. Creates the most visually interesting layout.

Grid

A uniform grid where all cards have the same height. Longer testimonials may be truncated or scroll within the card. This creates a clean, structured look.

Best for: Pages where visual consistency matters. Works well when most testimonials are similar in length.

List

A single-column vertical list of testimonials. Each testimonial takes the full width of the container.

Best for: Narrow containers, sidebars, or when you want a sequential reading experience.

Creating a Wall of Love

  1. Go to Embeds in the sidebar
  2. Click Create Embed
  3. Select Wall of Love
  4. Choose your preferred layout (Masonry, Grid, or List)
  5. Enter a name for the embed (e.g., "Homepage Wall of Love")
  6. Set a slug (used in the public URL)
  7. Click Create
  8. You'll be taken to the embed editor

Configuring Your Wall of Love

Content Filters

Form Selection Choose which form's testimonials to display. Options:

  • All Forms — Shows approved testimonials from all your forms
  • Specific Form — Only shows testimonials from the selected form

Testimonial Type

  • All — Shows both text and video testimonials
  • Text Only — Only displays text testimonials
  • Video Only — Only displays video testimonials

Minimum Rating Only show testimonials with a rating equal to or above the selected threshold:

  • No minimum (show all ratings)
  • 2 stars and above
  • 3 stars and above
  • 4 stars and above
  • 5 stars only

Page Settings

Page Title An optional heading displayed above the testimonial grid. Example: "What Our Customers Say"

Page Subtitle An optional subheading below the title. Example: "Real feedback from real users"

Show/Hide Header Toggle the title and subtitle section on or off.

Show/Hide Stats When enabled, displays aggregate statistics above the testimonials:

  • Average Rating — The mean star rating across displayed testimonials
  • Total Reviews — The count of testimonials shown
  • Recommendation Rate — Percentage of high-rating testimonials

Appearance

Theme

  • Light — White/light background with dark text
  • Dark — Dark background with light text
  • Auto — Automatically matches the visitor's OS preference (light or dark mode)

Accent Color The primary color used for highlights, stars, and interactive elements. Default is orange. Choose any color to match your brand.

Card Style

  • Bordered — Cards have a visible border
  • Shadowed — Cards have a subtle drop shadow
  • Minimal — Cards have no border or shadow, just content

What Each Card Shows

Each testimonial card in the Wall of Love displays:

  • Star rating (1-5 stars)
  • Testimonial text (full content or truncated depending on layout)
  • Customer name
  • Customer company and job title (if provided)
  • Customer avatar (if provided)
  • Play button overlay (for video testimonials)

Embedding on Your Website

After configuring your Wall of Love, copy the embed code:

Paste this code into your website's HTML where you want the Wall of Love to appear.

The widget automatically:

  • Loads your approved testimonials
  • Renders the configured layout
  • Resizes to fit the content
  • Responds to the visitor's screen size

Tips for a Great Wall of Love

  • Start with at least 5-10 testimonials to make the wall feel full and credible
  • Use Masonry layout for the most visually appealing result
  • Set a minimum rating of 4 stars to only show your best reviews
  • Add a page title to give context — visitors should immediately understand what they're looking at
  • Match the theme to your website's color scheme for a seamless integration
